Why stand for the anthem, and a list of Super Bowl LII sponsors

Gmail has recently instituted a restriction on the number of outgoing emails/recipients one can send in any given day.  Not sure of the details, but it has resulted in my messages to my usual lists to be blocked.  This is the first one that was blocked when I tried sending it Saturday morning at about 11:05... (I'll send one more out before I call it a day - it's on a different topic, but also important.)

Not sure if I had already sent this out before, but it bears re-sending;  it's a short (5:18) and very thoughtful video on why everyone should stand for the national anthem, sent recently by a friend...

After reading an article that NBC, the host of this year's Super Bowl, has indicated that it will show any players who protest the anthem before the game, I posted a comment that someone should get a list of sponsors and mount a letter-writing campaign to boycott their products & services if the liberal network persists with its intent.

If you're interested in said list, here it is...

Apparently Ad Age maintains this ongoing list up until game time of who will be running commercial during the game.  It would be great to see major advertisers pull out in response to letters (thus reducing revenue to the network), but even better if NBC just changed its policy and didn't give airtime to these misguided millionaire malcontents to share their wrong-place, wrong-time grievances.

People on the left do this kind of thing all the time, and when the rest of us do nothing, they tend to prevail in these various culture battles (in which they are generally on the offensive).  It's easy to bemoan the things that we disagree with and feel helpless to influence, but a little effort can (and does) change things for the better.  It's worth the effort.

There are times to take a knee (or two) - and times to stand - but when the anthem plays, even in my living room, I stand.

In Christ (the Solid Rock) I stand,

Fred
